Ability to search within collection

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but it would be nice if you could have a separate search for players or sets within your collection.  As it is right now I can sort it by Alphabetical but if I want to go to a player that starts in the middle of the alphabet it takes a while to scroll down to that player.  This would also make it easier if we were able to create folders and just narrow it down to one player; select all cards and then move them to that players folder.

How would you rate the customer service you received?

So far this is working very good....thank you for making the change to have this as an option! It will really help when sorting through our collections.

Good suggestion.  Right now, you can search for that card in the normal search and then click the orange "in collection" or "+" button next to the item and that will take you to that item in your collection.

Please let me know what you think of this capability.

I was looking for more of a way to narrow down the results within your collection.  So if I wanted to look at all my Jordan cards I could search just his name and it would all show.  As it is now, with over 2000 cards in my collection the only way I can do it is sort it alphabetically and then scroll down to M for Michael but it's several pages down and takes a while to get there.

And some of his cards were entered wrong like his 1995 Upper deck jordan collection card JC13, when I sort it goes to the top of the list because they entered the Set name in the player name field.  It looks like most of that set was entered wrong.  I would fix it if I could but I don't see a way to edit the Player name or set field.

I'm sure you guys get a lot of requests, I'm just trying to see if there is an easier way to look through my collection, if we were able to organize players into folders and not have all cards on one long list.  You know what I mean?

Thanks

1995 Upper deck jordan collection card JC13

What should this set be called and what should the card name be?  I can fix these.

I really appreciate your feedback about searching for cards inside your collection.  I can see why that would be helpful.  I'll think about the backend to accomplish this and see if we can implement it at some point.  I don't have an ETA unfortunately.

If you search 1995 Jordan Collection those all need to be fixed.  They should have his name in the Title, so for the first one it should look like:

Michael Jordan [He's Back] #JC13

or the jumbo versions should be:

Michael Jordan [1986 Garden Party Jumbo] #JC13

The set name is fine as it is.

When they were entered they must have forgot to put his name in the card name field.  Hope that makes sense.

No problem about the feedback, thanks for taking it into consideration.  It's probably not something that can be added quickly but maybe down the line it could be.  There's probably a lot more to it behind the scenes.

Thanks

Thanks for that additional info on the set name.  The problem with that set is the "Jordan" in the player name and the set name.  If we have both it messes with matching sales to the cards.  I've changed the name of the cards to start with "Michael" so at least they appear in the right place alphabetically.  And they will appear in search results if someone types "Michael Jordan JC13".  Unfortunately I can't add the "Jordan" part.

Finally some one who understands how my thoughts are when it comes to dealing with cards   Yes and I agree I have multiple cards for the each player and would love to do it that way making folders for each player to be able to put all that one players cards in their own folder that's brilliant!

This is the number issue/want for me. There are so many times I want to see the different cards I have of a certain player I have but I have to load sooo many pages then use my browsers search to find the player. With close to 5,000 cards it takes a long time to get to the one I am looking for. Thanks

+1 for this improvement please. In the sort and filter box, a keyword search field to put in a keyword, whether that was a year, set, or player name, then it would refine the results respectively.

My question or feature request is, would it be possible to search a complete set?  I have several complete sets within my collection that have never been opened, and I don't know exactly what cards are within the sets.

You can do that now.  You can "Find a Set" on the site and then look at the cards inside of that set to see what could be in the box.  Here is a video showing it.
