Card Image Requirement

*Sorry to post this twice, forgot to sign in and I want to get notifications if responded to*


I don't know if this was a new feature added or if it's a bug but I'm not a fan at all of the new card image requirement when adding cards to the database. It's time consuming enough to enter in each cards information but now we're required to upload an image of the card? If someone wants to add an image that should be up to them but I don't think this should be required to enter in a card. Can you please fix this?

No worries.  I don't know how it all works behind the scenes but are you able to see who's adding cards and if they're right or not?  If you can tell who is accidentally doing it I would say that would be a good idea to have a whitelist of people required to put in a photo.  I think it's great to have a photo but it's also a lot of work if you had to add it for every card.  If there was an app version of this that would make it easier, so when your using your phone to scan a card and it doesn't come up, it would give you a option to take a photo and enter the item details.  I'm sure it's much easier said than done to create the app though.  Thanks for getting back to me.

Jason.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  We had lots of cards being added in error (added to wrong set or with the wrong name).  The best way to tell was by looking at the photos.  So we've added a photo requirement.


That being said, some users are very good at adding cards and this requirement might just be an extra step that they don't need.  What do you think about whitelisting some users so they can add items without photos?  I can work on implementing that today if that would work for you.
