selling, shipping, and profit

Cool site! new to this. I am trying to figure out how people are making money selling a $0.99 card and make any money after the paypal fee and then $0.60 postage. Am I missing something? Any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I can tell you from selling a lot of cards off eBay and Facebook. I just recently listed cards here and are testing these waters. I sell a lot of dollar cards. I charge $1.30 for shipping. I ship each card sleeved, top loaded, wrapped in bubble-wrap then shipped inside a cardboard trading card mailer. It costs me $.88 to ship through ebay printed label. The rest pays for sleeves, top loader and the mailer, all I bought in volume. I might have $.10 left over in profit after all that, leaving me making about $1 a card after fees. When I sell 10 or so cards a day average, I can make $200 to $300 a month. They also buy in volume; they will also come back to buy other things. If you ever have questions or advice, feel free to shoot me an email, I am always glad to help or give advice.

I'm guessing those people ship the cards with a first class stamp for $0.40 and paypal fees of $0.35.  yes, they don't make much on those sales but the cards that sell for $0.99 are generally free to resellers because they are the common cards in a pack.
