Pricing and Card Errors

Why are there so many sale prices of cards listed under the incorrect card?   A simple base card will have 2-3 different variations!   Each card should have its own place.  A base card should not have sales prices from "purple refractor", "red border", "SSP".....It is extremely frustrating to deal with this on a day to day basis!

This is becoming rarer. If you look at the ebay sales under each card, next to it is a "report" link to notify the admins and help correct the errors. This helps the accuracy and algorithm in the long term.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comment.  This is all true.

Thanks for this feedback.  This is usually caused by sales where we don't have the variants in the database so those variant sales are mistakenly linked to the base card.  We want to correct that.  Clicking "report" helps our team know what cards we need to add and what improvements we can make to our algorithm to improve the matching.

I was wondering how best to flag these cases when I see them and I appreciate knowing that "report" is the preferred method.  It's frustrating to have a collection "over-inflated" in value because base cards are being defined with variant or graded card sales but reflected in the ungraded level.

Please report those to admin so we can fix them when they occur. For newer sets we have every parallel card in the database to avoid this kind of price inflation.  We definitely don't want those inaccurate prices but with 4,000,000+ cards in the database we do miss some.  Please let us know about them so we can fix it.

It sounds like that might be an error card.
