sets vs. individuals in my collection

if i am able to add a SET to "my collection" (i.e. Circle K, Kmart ...record-holders, Woolworth, etc.) should I, also, add each player in the set separately? One reason I ask is that i want to b able to compare the price of a set vs. the price of the player so i can make the decision on whether i should sell the Set or the individual players. I would also like "my collection" to differentiate the set vs. the ind. players without creating a double listing for ea. player. Thanks

You can add them both but the value would be double counted in the collection tool.  I understand your use case, but I think a better way to decide which to sell is using the "Set" pages listing every card for a set.  For example 1980 Topps

You can see the value of the Complete Set (usually the top item when sorted by highest price first).  Then you can compare the value of each individual card.  For most sets, only a few of the cards will sell very often (popular rookie cards).  The price of each individual card will always be higher than the Complete Set, but it might take years to sell each card individually (not much demand for those lesser cards).

I hope this makes sense.
